Working with "Conscious Thought Media" on their creative project about African Fashion

It was great working with my model Kourtney Vanleuvan on this mini production along with Chetachi and Kathleen from "Conscious Though Media" .

Conscious Thought Media capured everything we as designers do behind the scenes....

from me sewing,

to fitting the model,

to styling out the look,

to caputing the finished product for look book and editorial.

I am looking forward to seeing the final product and cant wait to keep you all posted.

Busy trying to get it done

Fact: I sew every single piece of clothing i have created myself, I sems this comes as a surprise to most people when i share this piece of information. I am proud of what i have been able to teach myself and learn from other i nt he past 2 and a half years.

I wil keep seing every stich of every garment myself, till I get some big money to back me to take my work to the next level/production.....

I infuse these different mediums so tell a cohesive yet editorial and compelling story.......

Some inspirations for "diamond in the rough" collection.

My collection "diamond in the rough" was inspired by my recent visit to Nigeria.
Is was so exhilarating to see everyday women in vibrant colors going about their busy days despite the hardship and the current political and economic condition in the country.

As I stepped onto the dirt road of the market place, I was taken by the frills and lace that adorned the women's clothing and it looked clothing that could be found on the runways in the western world. Yet these women were so beautiful and radiant and they moved about with purpose In their regal nature.......

That's why I call it "Diamond In The Rough"
This collection is dedicated to all the women all over the world, struggling to take care of home, family, work and life in general and doing it with grace to the best of their ability.
